Stranded for 22 hours, MSRTC fails to bail out staff

The passengers of stranded Nagpur-Pune semi-luxury state transport must have reached their destinations, but its driver and conductor have not. This can only happen with the tumbling Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC).

The driver and conductor of Pune-bound ST bus from Nagpur were forced to remain stranded for more than 22 hours after no help came from the MSRTC to repair the bus that got stuck up due to an engine failure.

According to sources, the Nagpur-Pune Asiad bus had left the Ganeshpeth bus stand at 6.30pm on Wednesday. Following an engine breakdown at 8pm, the bus was stranded in Thanegaon near Karanja (Ghadge), 70km from Nagpur.
