The developmental activities being carried out in the international Multi-Model passenger and cargo hub in the city will be completed by year-end and the land acquisition for the remaining work is in final stages, District Guardian Minister Shivajirao Moghe said here today. Speaking after hoisting the tri-colour on the occasion of Independence Day at Divisional Commissionerate, Moghe said the project would provide huge employment opportunities and the rehabilitation of project affected persons was on fast track. On various developmental activities of the DF government, Moghe said the State Government has decided to construct about 10 lakh houses for the schedules caste and backward community. About 68,000 houses under the 'Gharkul' scheme have already been completed, he said. Moghe said the state government has launched E-Scholarship scheme for the students from backward community and 15 lakhs students have availed the facility. Also present on the occasion were Divisional Commissioner, V Gopal Reddy, Commissioner of Police, Ankush Dhanvijay, Municipal Commissioner, Sanjiv Jaiswal, District Collector Saurav Rao, ZP Chief Suresh Bhoyar, MLAs S Q Zama, Dinanath Padole, former MP Gev Awari, former MLA Yadavrao Deogade and others.
