Sadar police has arrested another accused in reproductive child health (RCH) scam. Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) doctor Preeti Zararia was arrested by the police on Saturday evening. Police said during investigation the cops found maximum number of signatures of Zararia on the fake treatment papers given to the patients. Zararia will be produced in the court on Monday.
Two days ago, Sadar police had arrested Dr Areefa Tanvir, against whom the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has filed a FIR for registering fake delivery cases under the RCH scheme.
TOI has repeatedly been writing about 105 fake cases registered by the Tajuddin Baba Aulia Trust Hospital, which has allegedly claimed lakhs of rupees worth of subsidy under the RCH programme. Tanvir runs the Tajbagh-based Tajuddin Baba Aulia Trust Hospital and has reportedly caused a loss of Rs 3.5 lakh to the NMC.
