Nagpur at second spot in rogues gallery

The Nagpur division of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education maintained its dubious distinction of doing well in number of copying cases, but it ended up in second position with 740 cases. Amravati division topped the state with the highest number of cases of unfair means at 942.

Since last many years, Nagpur division has been topping the chart of malpractices. Last year, 804 students had been caught. In 2009, the board witnessed highest number of cases of unfair means, with as many as 7,692 cases registered and maximum were from Nagpur.

This year, number of cases in all divisions again rose to 3,264. The Mumbai division emerged cleanest with just 91 cases. The cases registered malpractice include impersonation, copying, taking help of supervisors and others.
