Five students from schools run by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) scored above 90% marks in the SSC examinations. Shamshad Ali Alam Ali, a girl student of MAK Azad Urdu High School Teka, scored 93.82% marks and stood first in NMC schools, while Afreen Jahan of Sane Guruji Urdu High School at Dasra Road stood second with 93.64% marks and Parveen Naz from MAK Azad Urdu High School, Teka, stood third with 91.45% marks.
Students of two NMC run schools - Sane Guruji Urdu School, Dasra Road, and Sheshrao Wankhede Vidyaniketan, Ramdaspeth -secured above 90% results in the SSC examinations, while for the first time more than six schools achieved over 80% results. The civic body runs 22 high schools in Nagpur.
Schools which managed to score above 80% results are Tajabagh Urdu Madhyamik School, Saraswati Hindi Kanya Madhyamik Vidyalayam, Bajeriya; Walmiki Nagar Hindi Madhyamik Shala, Gandhi Nagar; Lalbahadur Shastri Hindi High School and Sane Guruji Urdu High School, Dasra Road.
